AUK & Kuwait Airways Sign MoU to Strengthen Cooperation

American University of Kuwait (AUK) and Kuwait Airways signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in academic, training, and professional fields, focusing on human development, innovation, and knowledge exchange. The agreement was signed by AUK President Dr. Aseel Al-Awadhi and Kuwait Airways Acting CEO Abdulwahab Al-Shatti.
Al-Shatti stated the MoU aims to establish sustainable cooperation, linking academia with the business sector through initiatives that develop national capabilities and provide practical learning opportunities. This partnership is seen as a step towards integrating academic knowledge with practical experience, preparing students for the workforce.
The MoU includes joint initiatives like lectures, seminars, workshops, and expert exchanges to enhance student skills. It also covers professional development for Kuwait Airways employees through AUK’s Center for Continuing Education, focusing on continuous learning and workforce development.
Cooperation areas include modern fields such as cybersecurity and digital transformation, aiming to improve work environments and performance. The agreement allows Kuwait Airways to participate in AUK career fairs, fostering direct communication with students and attracting talent to the aviation sector.
Dr. Al-Awadhi emphasized that the agreement expands cooperation between academia and aviation, reflecting AUK’s commitment to combining academic excellence with practical application, thereby preparing students to contribute to Kuwait’s development.
