AUK Library Hosts Student Showcase for AI Projects

The American University of Kuwait (AUK) Library hosted the Student AI Projects Showcase, an exhibition of student work using AI tools. The event united students, faculty, and staff to explore AI's potential across disciplines, highlighting AUK's dedication to digital literacy and innovation in higher education.
Projects included chatbots, GPTs, digital artworks, and more, showcasing AI's role in solving real-world problems and inspiring creativity. Participants from various programs demonstrated AI's applications in learning and creative expression.
Exhibits featured AI-powered assistants, sign language mediators, holographic assistants, AI-enhanced artwork, and security solutions for quantum computing, engaging attendees in discussions on AI's impact on education and society.
Ms. Asma Al Kanan, University Librarian, emphasized empowering students with cutting-edge tools. Dr. Rawda Awwad, AUK President, announced free ChatGPT licenses for students through a partnership with OpenAI, positioning AUK as a regional leader in technology integration.
The event concluded with a film screening of Fritz Lang’s Metropolis, sparking discussions on the human-technology relationship. The AUK Library plans to organize similar showcases each semester, fostering student engagement with AI and innovative classroom applications.
