AUK Research on the Rise: 2025 Awards Celebrate Record-Breaking Year

The Office of Research and Grants (ORG) at the American University of Kuwait (AUK) hosted its annual Research Awards Ceremony to celebrate academic excellence and research accomplishments. The event highlighted AUK's research performance for the 2023/24 academic year, showing a significant increase in Scopus-indexed publications and citations, alongside a substantial rise in research funding. These achievements underscore the university's growing impact in the academic community.
Dr. Aaron Rababaah, Chair of the Committee on Research and Grants (CRG), explained the evaluation process for the research awards, which considered intellectual production, patents, grant activity, and research supervision. Award recipients included Dr. Ali Bostani, Dr. Faisal Al-Reshaid, and Dr. Rita Al-Haddad, reflecting their academic excellence and contributions to AUK's research mission. The ceremony also honored the top 10 faculty members from each college for their publication contributions.
Acting director of the ORG, Dr. Ahmed Al-Saber, praised the faculty's dedication, noting a 25% improvement in research performance, enhancing AUK’s research profile and fostering an intellectually vibrant environment.
