The American United School in Kuwait (AUS) celebrated its seventh graduation ceremony for the academic year 2024/2025 on Sunday, May 18, 2025. The ceremony was held at the Fahaheel Al Watanieh Indian Private School (FAIPS), a fellow institute under the United Education Company. A total of 85 graduates were honored during the ceremony, each having earned admission to prestigious universities both locally and internationally underscoring AUS’s commitment to academic excellence and college readiness.
The ceremony was attended by the Group CEO of the Kuwait Projects Company (Holding) – KIPCO, Sheikha Dana Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and the Chair of the Board of Trustees at American United School Sheikha Futouh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

Graduates Naaief Rakan AlSabah and Moudhi Abdulaziz AlSabah opened the ceremony by welcoming the attendees and congratulating their fellow graduates. The U.S. Ambassador to the State of Kuwait, Her Excellency Karen Hideko Sasahara, delivered a warm welcome, commending the graduates and their families on reaching this important milestone.

Valedictorian Sarah AlBouss delivered an inspiring speech, reflecting on the challenges and tough times that she and her fellow graduates faced, which they overcame with determination, patience, and perseverance. She commended the teachers' efforts and the support of the school administration in helping them overcome obstacles and nurture their talents and skills. "As we stand here today, it’s hard not to think about the future, the countless milestones that are still ahead of us. The rest of our lives are waiting to be written. And though this chapter may be ending, it’s only the beginning of everything that’s still to come. We have so many dreams to chase, so many stories still unwritten, and so much growing up left to do."
The keynote address was delivered by Ms. Seham AlHusaini, General Manager of Deliveroo in Kuwait. She encouraged the graduates to be grateful for every step before rushing to the next. "I wish I hadn’t been afraid of the possibility of failing. You are going to fail, but those moments will shape you. Surround yourself with people who inspire you and push you forward. And don’t forget to appreciate the ones working quietly in the background, making your journey possible. Acknowledge them. Thank them. And carry that kindness with you wherever you go.”
