Burgan Bank recently celebrated 35 employees who completed modules of its Ro’ya program, a key part of its talent development strategy. This program is designed to advance employees' careers and prepare them for leadership roles, aligning with the bank's commitment to high ESG standards.
Several members of Burgan’s senior management and HR leaders attended the graduation ceremony, reinforcing the bank’s people-first approach. Mr. Bashar AlQattan, Executive Manager of Learning and Talent Development, commented on the graduates’ commendable success:
On behalf of Burgan’s management, I would like to express my sincere admiration for our exceptional talents for the hard work and dedication they exhibited throughout their Ro’ya journeys and extend my heartfelt congratulations to all graduates for their achievements. The success we have achieved so far and the future growth we aspire to unlock rely greatly on our talents’ devotion, aptitude for innovation, and drive for knowledge. This is why we persist in identifying and recruiting Kuwait’s most promising talents who share our pursuit of excellence and seek to enrich their professional journeys with yearlong learning and talent development opportunities that catalyze their holistic growth as individuals, employees, and future leaders.
The flagship talent development program, launched in 2020, now includes four streams: Future Leaders, Rising Leaders, Transformational Leaders, and Visionary Leaders, each tailored to experience and aspirations. In its latest edition, 35 talents joined the programs: Future Leaders for fresh graduates (one month), Rising Leaders for employees with up to four years of experience (six months), and Transformational Leaders for managers and senior managers with up to 10 years of experience (six months).
The program will introduce the Ro’ya Mentorship Module for Visionary Leaders in Q3 2024, preparing emerging senior leaders with guidance from Burgan’s senior executives.
Burgan Bank, committed to employee growth and certified as a Great Place to Work®, received two consecutive Brandon Hall Group HCM Awards of Excellence and the GCC Excellence Award in Recruitment and Development of Nationals.
