Burgan Bank, committed to fostering a supportive work environment and leading change in Kuwait’s banking sector, hosted an Emotional Aid workshop in collaboration with Anara. Led by Dr. Kim Dillen, a licensed neuropsychologist, the workshop equipped select senior staff with skills to become Emotional Wellness Champions. This initiative aligns with the bank’s mission to be an employer of choice and maintain its Great Place to Work® status.
Ms. Zahra Boarki, Senior Manager – Internal Communication, emphasized the bank’s commitment to integrating mental health into its corporate culture, believing it fosters growth and creativity. The bank aims to enrich employees’ lives, enhancing their physical and mental wellbeing as part of its strategy to promote a flexible and sustainable work environment.
The Emotional Aid workshop is a key step in promoting employee wellness, using a top-down approach to equip managers with tools for personal and professional support. Burgan Bank prioritizes holistic growth, offering programs for mental, physical, and emotional wellness, including an internal clinic, a mother’s room, reduced working hours, and various paid leave options. The bank also supports employee talents as part of its strategic goals.
