Burgan Bank Receives ISO 14001:2015 Certification for Environmental Management Systems

Burgan Bank has achieved the ISO 14001:2015 certification, an international standard for environmental management systems (EMS). This reflects the Bank’s integration of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles, supporting Kuwait Vision 2035 and aligning with the Environment Public Authority's framework.
Mr. Saud Al Hadbah, General Manager – General Services Administration at Burgan Bank, stated, “This certification underscores our commitment to sustainable growth and responsible operations.”
To achieve this, the Bank conducted a gap analysis, implemented the EMS framework, and successfully completed audits. The certification enhances environmental performance, ensures regulatory compliance, reduces waste, and strengthens stakeholder trust.
Burgan Bank continues to lead in environmental sustainability, with initiatives like the LEED v4.1 O+M:EB Gold certification for its headquarters and inclusion in the FTSE4Good Global Index. The Bank has launched a paper recycling initiative with Tadwire and developed infrastructure for electric vehicles, supporting Kuwait Vision 2035.
The Bank also holds multiple ISO certifications, including ISO/IEC 27001:2022 for Information Security, ISO/IEC 27701:2019 for Privacy Management, ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018 for IT Service Management, ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management, ISO 22301:2019 for Business Continuity, and ISO 41001:2018 for Facility Management. These certifications demonstrate Burgan Bank’s dedication to operational excellence and responsible growth.
