Reinforcing the bank’s commitments to long-term sustainable investments strategies

Burgan Bank sponsored the Bonds, Loans & Sukuk Middle East 2025 event, the largest of its kind in the region, attracting over 1,800 senior capital market professionals. This sponsorship underscores Burgan Bank's commitment to advancing the retail, corporate, and investment banking sector, aligned with ESG principles.
Mr. Abdullah Marafie highlighted the event's alignment with the bank’s strategy to strengthen Kuwait’s business, diversify its corporate profile, and support the “New Kuwait 2035” development plan focused on sustainability. Mr. Mohamed Al Zanki emphasized Kuwait's growth as a hub for foreign investments, facilitated by Burgan Bank’s expanding corporate services.
The conference covered topics like navigating economic shifts, financing strategies, and Islamic finance growth. Burgan Bank aims to diversify its corporate portfolio and expand its retail business, marked by achievements such as acquiring United Gulf Bank B.S.C and a partnership with Korea Finance for Construction. The bank's issuance of KD 150 million Perpetual Additional Tier 1 Capital Bonds was oversubscribed, indicating strong investor interest.
