Burgan Bank Showcases Technology Leadership at IDC Kuwait CIO Summit 2026

Burgan Bank participated in the IDC Kuwait CIO Summit 2026, highlighting its dedication to advancing Kuwait’s technology landscape and fostering dialogue on digital transformation opportunities and challenges.
The Summit, themed “The Rise of Agentic Systems,” gathered leading CIOs and tech executives to discuss AI, cloud, and data infrastructure's role in creating intelligent, autonomous, and resilient organizations.
Mr. Barrak Al-Mattar, Burgan Bank’s General Manager of Information Technology, participated in the “For The CIO – By The CIO” track, discussing agentic AI applications and enterprise-scale adoption considerations. He was also recognized in the IDC CIO Excellence Awards 2026 for redefining IT leadership and digital innovation.
Mr. Al-Mattar stressed the need for balancing innovation with governance and cybersecurity, particularly in the financial sector, emphasizing resilient security frameworks and customer awareness. He noted:
