Kamco Invest, a leading regional non-banking financial institution, successfully managed two significant debt transactions as Joint Lead Manager in May 2026. These included a KWD-denominated Additional Tier 1 Sukuk for Kuwait Finance House (KFH) and a USD-denominated perpetual Additional Tier 1 capital securities issuance for Oman Arab Bank. Both issuances were heavily oversubscribed, demonstrating strong investor demand despite geopolitical tensions.
Kamco Invest led the KWD200mn Sukuk issuance for KFH, the largest of its kind in Kuwaiti Dinar, with demand exceeding KWD275mn and an annual return of 5.5%. The USD400mn issuance for Oman Arab Bank attracted over USD1bn in demand, showcasing confidence in the bank and the Omani banking sector.
These transactions underscore Kamco Invest’s role in the debt capital markets in Kuwait and the region, offering diversified financing solutions. In 2025, Kamco managed 14 transactions valued at USD7.0bn, including bond and Sukuk issuances across the Gulf.
Mr. Abdullah M. AlSharekh, Managing Director at Kamco, highlighted the success of these transactions as evidence of Kamco's robust debt capital markets platform. Executive Director Mr. Omar Zaineddine emphasized Kamco’s expanding presence in regional markets and its commitment to enhancing the financial ecosystem in the region.
Kamco Invest recently received the "Best Investment Bank for Financial Institutions in the Middle East 2026" award from Global Finance, recognizing its excellence in capital markets and its contribution to the region's financial development.
