United Real Estate Company (URC), the real estate arm of the KIPCO Group, has announced the release of its first Sustainability Report for 2024. This publication underscores URC’s strategic commitment to embedding Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into its core operational and investment strategies. The report formalizes the company's dedication to achieving sustainable performance that aligns with global standards and supports the objectives of the national economy.

In alignment with this milestone, Mr. Rashid Al Issa, Chief Human Resources Officer at URC, emphasized that the report signifies the company’s steadfast commitment to adopting best practices in governance and transparency. "This report demonstrates our focused effort to balance robust financial growth with tangible contributions to social development," stated Al Issa. "It reinforces our pivotal role in advancing sustainability and growth within Kuwait's real estate sector, guided by an integrated approach founded on transparency and innovation."
Mr. Al Issa further explained URC’s strategic vision, noting that sustainability is a fundamental component of the company's business model, rather than a standalone initiative. "Integrating ESG principles into our policies and decision-making processes is crucial for enhancing our long-term resilience and competitiveness. This approach not only builds confidence with local and international investors but also solidifies our commitment to transforming sustainability principles into a tangible, comprehensive reality across all administrative and operational functions," he explained.
These principles, Al Issa noted, are already being realized in the cultivation of an integrated work environment that prioritizes human capital. This commitment was demonstrated through a series of diverse programs encompassing educational, humanitarian, and environmental aspects, including comprehensive training and development programs for all employees, which invested in fostering a more skilled and engaged workforce.
